What is your office like?

Here’s a picture! I have a space that works well for kids (play and art), teens, young adults, and families. We are also close to downtown and parks if you’d like an outdoor session.

What is your rate?
Individual and family therapy:
$140 per 50 minute session

(The counseling “hour” is 50 minutes of face-to-face time and 10 minutes of note taking and session preparation).  Payment by cash, check, or credit card is accepted.

I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate in accordance with the No Surprises Act when we begin Counseling.

Do you take Insurance?
As an out of network provider for PPO plans, I can provide you with appropriate receipts for reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by contacting your insurance provider.

Do you have a reduced rate?
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis for those who qualify.

What should I do to before our first appointment?
To make the best use of our time together, please complete the beginning paperwork ahead of time and put together a list of any questions you have, so that we make sure to address them during our session.

What happens at our first appointment?
Your first appointment is an opportunity to meet each other, gather information, and see if we are a good fit for working together. My goal will be to get to know you, to hear some of your story, to learn what brings you to counseling, and hear about some goals you may have.

What if you are not a good fit for me?
Fit is definitely important and not every counselor-client combination is right. If we’re not a good fit, I won’t take it personally, and I’ll do everything I can to help you find a counselor who’s a better match for you.

What happens at future appointments?
After the first appointment, we will both have a better understanding of what direction to go. We will begin to have more focused conversations specifically addressing those areas of most importance to you. I will tailor my methods to what suits you best depending on how you process and interact.

How often will I need to see you?
The answer is different for every client so we’ll decide together what makes sense for you. We may meet every week, every other week, or once a month. And, we may meet for a few months, a full year, or longer, depending upon your needs.

How do I get started?
The best way to get started is to contact me today.  I look forward to meeting you!
