Lauren Forsythe, LPC, RPT-S

I am a Colorado native and live in Longmont with my husband, Will; our two children, Liam and Ellie; a sweet golden retriever named Daisy, and a feisty pug named Gordon. Besides spending time with my family; I love art, creative writing, good food, books, and being outside hiking and running.

I love journeying with my clients and feel so honored to know each unique person I get to work with. I have been a therapist specializing in working with kids, teens, and young adults for 10 years. I also have experience  working as a court advocate (CASA) with children in foster care, counseling with high risk adolescents in residential treatment, and mentoring teens and young adults. I work with issues of depression, anxiety, relationship and identity challenges, family conflict, cutting, suicidal ideation, trauma, and grief.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and am a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor (RPT-S) with the Association for Play Therapy. I am a Consultant for play therapists learning Synergetic Play Therapy as well.
